AN ADRENALINE junkie from Mark is deep in training for one of the World's toughest endurance races.
Chris Darling, 27, is going to tackle the first-ever Siberian Black Ice Race in March with team mate Phil Taylor, 26, and said he is ready and raring to go.
He added: “Racing in the EWR Siberian Black Ice Race appeals to my extreme sense of adventure and I cannot wait.
“Taking part in the Adventure Academy in January was an absolutely amazing trip and I am now raring to go.”
The race will offer two distances, a 155-mile sprint or 379-mile marathon, and includes a combination of kite-skiing, mountain-skiing, cross-country skiing, running, walking and skating.
The multi-discipline race takes place on Lake Baikal in Siberia which is the World's oldest and deepest frozen lake, known for its treacherous black ice.
