Tennis ace Craig is number one
12:00pm Wednesday 17th March 2010

A TALENTED tennis player from Brean has become the number one player in Somerset after a great start to 2010.
Craig Phillips, who is a coach at the Avenue Tennis Club in Burnham, has seen his ranking points go from 118 to 78 in March following his recent masters triumph at David Lloyd in Bristol.
The points he’s gained should edge him towards the UK’s top 50 players and he is currently looking for another sponsor to help fund his efforts to break into the country’s top ten by the end of 2012.
Avenue Tennis Club head coach Vinny Duddy said: “ I believe that Craig has got all the right attributes and determination to reach the demanding goal.”
If you would like to be a part of Craig’s push for reaching the UK top ten by sponsoring him, contact the office on 01278-782758.
