Highbridge Town up for the cup after last week's cancelled match
11:00am Friday 27th January 2012

HIGHBRIDGE Town's first team players were left twiddling their thumbs on Saturday after their clash with Bishops Lydeard Reserves was postponed due to an unplayable pitch.
Town Reserves managed to get a game but they suffered a hefty 5-0 defeat in the Somerset Intermediate Cup to holders Sampford Blues.
Both teams are set to be in action this weekend as the first eleven welcome SRL Saints in the quarter finals of the Rowbarton Charity Cup for a 1.45pm kick-off.
Team spokesman Terry Earl said: “We are wary of SRL Saints because they are a very physical and intimidating side.
“But if we stand up to them, play our football and not get sucked into a slanging match, then we should be fine.”
Town Reserves will travel to Williton. Kick-off is 2pm.
