Title race hots up this weekend for Highbridge Town

HOPES of a title charge for Highbridge Town could rest on this weekend's match with current league leaders Middlezoy Rovers.

Town travel to Middlezoy hoping to claw back the five-point gap that separates the two teams.

A win for Highbridge would close the gap to two points and leave them with two games in hand over the table toppers.

Middlezoy's attacking threat in front of goal will be an area for Highbridge to look at as they are this season's top goalscorers so far, netting an impressive 34 times.

But Highbridge will want to extend their unbeaten league run to 10 matches and are in fine form in front of goal themselves, having scored five times in their win over SRL Saints at the weekend.

Defeat for Highbridge would not rule out the chance of lifting the Division One title at the end of the season, but it would leave them eight points adrift with a uphill task.

The match will kick-off at 2.30pm at The Aerodrome in Westonzoyland
