Harding helps pull off hard-fought point
4:00pm Tuesday 31st January 2012

AN inspired second half performance from Burnham saw them turn around a 4-0 deficit to share the honours against second-placed Axbridge Town Reserves.
In the first half, Burnham played well but were undone by playing up the slope and on a boggy pitch as Axbridge Town scored two goals early on and two goals near the stroke of half-time.
Burnham were confident in the second half that they could get back into the game and experienced an excellent 20-minute spell, scoring four times.
Nick Harding’s hat-trick included two penalties, and a goal from Duane Allen levelled the scores.
The game evened out at this stage and strong defending from Burnham’s back line prevented the home side taking the lead with Dan Guyatt clearing off the line.
With minutes remaining, Axbridge scored, but man-of-the-match Harding scored his fourth and Burnham’s fifth with the final kick of the match, with an excellent free-kick that sailed over the wall and into the back of the net.
